Famous Hollywood star was just accused of several sexual harassment claims. This is so sad.

American film producer and film studio executive, Harvey Weinstein is in some deep trouble. He recently settled at least eight allegations of sexual harassment or misconduct spanning several decades.

Apparently an investigation by the New York Times said Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan were among his targets. He is the Academy Award winner for producing Shakespeare in Love. And has also received seven Tony Awards for producing a variety of winning plays and musicals.

Judd spoke with the Times saying that Weinstein asked to massage her in a hotel room. He also pressured her to watch him shower during a meeting about twenty years ago.

It was a horrifying experience.

“How do I get out of the room as fast as possible without alienating Harvey Weinstein?”

We were all curious after she described the incident to Variety in 2015. Although, she did not name Weinstein at the time. Now that it has all come out in the open she feels more comfortable sharing that it was him.

The report said the women generally received between $80,000 and $150,000 in payouts each to make accusations go away. Judd was not one of the women who received a settlement, but McGowan was.

According to Lisa Bloom, who is a lawyer advising Mr. Weinstein, “he denies many of the accusations as patently false.” He also released an email statement to The Wrap explaining the situation.

He expressed that he was just in a different era. That rules in workplaces were a lot different back in the day. According to him that was the “culture” at the time.

Weinstein continued to share that he has learned better and that his interactions with co-workers has changed a ton.  He then apologized.

“I came of age in the 60’s and 70’s, when all the rules about behavior and workplaces were different. That was the culture then,” said Weinstein. “I have since learned it’s not an excuse, in the office – or out of it. To anyone. I realized some time ago that I needed to be a better person and my interactions with the people I work with have changed. I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it.”
