Famous longtime Hollywood actor was just found dead in his home. Prayers for the family during this devastating time.
He is the co-star of TV’s “Magnum, P.I.” John Hillerman has died at the age of 84 according to a spokeswoman for the family of actor.
Lori De Waal shared that Hillerman died Thursday at his home in Houston. As of now, the cause of his death has not yet been determined. More details are supposedly going to be released once the coroner determines the cause.
The legendary actor played Jonathan Higgins to Tom Selleck’s free-wheeling private detective Thomas Magnum in the hit 1980s series set in Hawaii. He was also known for his 1970s roles as arrogant radio show detective Simon Brimmer on the “Ellery Queen” series. And as a difficult boss on “One Day at a Time.”
When he landed his first professional theatrical role in Middleton, Ohio he went on to appear in productions at The Cincinnati Playhouse. That is where he found his British accent and “natty style” according to msn.
He was originally from Denison, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin for three years. After that he went on to serve for four years in the Air Force.
Right after getting out of the Air Force he moved to New York City to study at the American Theatre Wing.
He was truly one of a kind, and from he beginning of his career continued to see successes. Some of his other more popular roles were included in the shows”Valerie,” ”The Love Boat” and “The Betty White Show.” His film credits include “The Last Picture Show” and “High Plains Drifter.
This was a heartbreaking time for his entire family, and he is going to be missed dearly.
