Legendary NASCAR driver was in a horrifying car crash leaving him stuck in the ICU. Praying for a full recovery.
It wasn’t long ago that NASCAR veteran Jack Ingram was placed in ICU after a terrifying near death experience. It wasn’t until now that his family released the full details of the crash.
The crash took place on December 3, 2017 and Ingram still remains in the ICU. He is at a local hospital, and his family is finally opening up about the details of the car crash that almost took his life. Apparently the crash happened in North Carolina and was just a few yards away from the Asheville Motor Speedway.
The police report states that Ingram’s car was struck on the driver’s side as he passed through the intersection. That’s when it did a full 180-degree spin before coming to a full stop after sliding off the road.
The good news is that no one died in the accident. Only Ingram and one passenger from the other vehicle were injured. There was also one other unknown passenger that is being treated for minor injuries at this time.
For the first time since the crash Ingram’s family has released more information on his recovery. Although he is still in ICU, they are “cautiously optimistic.”
His daughter opened up saying that the crash took place while he was on his way to breakfast Sunday morning. He has severe injuries, one including a collapsed lung. They are unsure on recovery time at this point.
“He was driving two friends and himself to a favorite breakfast spot when the accident happened. And he was brought to Memorial Mission hospital where it was determined he had a collapsed lung, five broken ribs, and a puncture wound on his left side. He was stabilized in a few hours and moved to ICU, where he is, now.”
This is so scary! Please continue to keep him in your prayers during this time!
