Blake Shelton just shared a huge update about his future and we cannot wait for 2018!
It seems like the past year has been nothing but success for Blake Shelton, and we couldn’t be happier for him. After he and Miranda Lambert divorced he very quickly released a new album that hit the top of the charts within hours.
Not only did Blake share his new album, but he has a new girl Gwen Stefani and he has continued to be a coach on The Voice. Since he has had so much going for him the country star has been featured on so many late night shows and talk shows allowing his humor to really shine through.
Although 2016 was a great year for the star, it looks like 2017 and 2018 might be even better after his latest announcement! If you haven’t heard Shelton teamed up with the Ryman Auditorium Shows, the Ryman Hospitality, and he is going to be opening up his own bar chain “Ole Red”.
That’s not all of the good news though! Blake Shelton finally released the concept photos for “Ole Red” and it’s absolutely STUNNING. This specific one (the first one) is expected to be only the first of MANY “Blake Shelton themed” bars. The bar is set to open in 2018 accounting for about $20 MILLION.
This first bar is about 26,000 square feet and is going to be able to accommodate for two live bands “similtaneously”. “Ole Red” is set to built on lower Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee making it the most expensive entertainment endeavor since they built the Bridgestone Arena back in 1996.
This doesn’t seem impossible to get the money back though, because after seeing the concept photos everyone is going to want to be visiting “Ole Red”. Check out the photos – this is absolutely INSANE.
ANNND Shelton already has plans for the second venue too! Remember when he purchased Miranda Lambert’s “Pink Pistol” in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and everyone freaked out about it wondering what he was going to do with it? Yup! Now it’s also going to be “Ole Red”. We just aren’t sure when.
Ryman Hospitality chairman/CEO Colin Reed spoke with Yahoo! about “Ole Red” saying that they want Blake’s persona to be the center of it all and they are willing to do anything to make sure that happens.
“We want to be able to connect in real time,” said Ryman Hospitality chairman/CEO Colin Reed according to Yahoo! News. “If you think about brands like Planet Hollywood, 10, 12, 15 years ago, they exploded in popularity with the belief that Arnold Schwarzenegger was going to walk in the door. They served lousy food and Arnold never showed up, and the brand went in the toilet. This is not going to be that way. We’re going to have great food, great beverages, great retail, and we’re going to make sure that [Blake’s] persona is central to this business.”
This is so crazy!! Congrats Blake!
