Tom Cruise is one of the most famous actors of all time and he is officially done.

After 35 years in the acting business critics say this might just be the end for Tom Cruise. Critics who reviewed “The Mummy” say that it was a total flop and that it might be Tom Cruise’s worst movie yet.

Indiewire actually called “The Mummy” the worst movie he’s ever made.

“Obviously the worst movie that Tom Cruise has ever made.”

“[T]he slightly discombobulated look on Cruise’s face … didn’t really strike me as an aspect of his performance,” wrote Variety’s Chief Film Critic Owen Gleiberman. “It seemed more like Cruise himself thinking, deep down, ‘Where am I?’”

Of course, Tom Cruise isn’t the first star to ever have this horrible of a turn out, but it may top the list of worst movies ever. Variety’s Gleiberman continued to say that Cruise is a franchise addict. What was once a sensation is now becoming the mundane.

“For the last 10 years,” Gleiberman wrote, “Tom Cruise has been doing a version of what he’s always done — making ‘Mission: Impossible’ thrillers, and also big-scale flashy-concept sci-fi movies (like ‘Oblivion’ and ‘Edge of Tomorrow’) and introducing new franchises, like ‘Jack Reacher’ and, now, the Dark Universe films. He’s become a bit of a franchise addict.”

One of Tom’s friends seems to disagree with most of the US critics out there. Hollywood PR guru Howard Bragman shared a statement with Fox News saying that anyone who bets against Tom is a fool.

It seems like he may be right too because according to reports it’s box office has taken $141.8 million unlike the US’ $32.3MILLION.

“Tom’s been a buddy for a long time,” Bragman told Fox News. “Anyone who would bet against him is a fool. He’s talented, smart and driven…The irony in all this is that ‘The Mummy’ gave Tom Cruise his best global debut ever, and that is why you can’t ever count this guy out,” he said.
