Legendary actress was just announced dead after terrifying car crash. This is heartbreaking.

The beautiful and talented Australian actress Jessica Falkholt has died. Her death comes just weeks after she was involved in a horrific car crash that killed three members of her family.

Needless to say, this has been a gut-wrenching time for her entire family. She was only 29 years old at the time of her death.

A spokesperson for the hospital that she was at said that Falkholt passed away on Wednesday Jan. 17 (Australian time). They also shared that she had been in a coma since the day of the accident. They confirmed on behalf of the surviving members of her family her death.

“On behalf of the family of Jessica Falkholt, St. George Hospital has been asked to advise the media and the community of Jessica’s passing today at 10.20am.” A spokesperson for the hospital said in a statement, obtained by PEOPLE.

“Jessica passed away from serious injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on 26 December, 2017,” the statement read.

You probably remember Jessica from her role as Hope Morrison on long-running Australian TV soap opera Home and Away. The accident killed her sister, Annabelle, 21, and parents: father Lars, 69, and Vivian, 61.

The report shared that her parents died at the scene of the crash. Annabelle died in the hospital three days later, according to News.Com.Au.

Craig Anthony Whitall, who was the driver of the other car died in the wreck at age 51. Apparently the actress underwent multiple surgeries after the crash and was in a coma.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that she was taken off of life support the day after her family’s funeral, which was held Jan. 10, and remained in critical condition for almost a week.

This is horrifying. Please continue to keep all of their family and friends in your prayers. I can’t imagine the pain they are experiencing.
