It was just a couple of weeks ago that Loretta Lynn had to undergo surgery, and it looks like she is back in the game sooner than we expected.
On Labor Day weekend Loretta Lynn was set to perform at her annual Labor Day Party that she throws on her ranch every year in Hurricane, Tennessee. Unfortunately she had to cancel her performance after a big fall.
After cancelling her performance she went to the doctor and got some of the worst news. They were needing to perform a minor surgery on the country icon after her fall.
Her website posted the unfortunate news saying that she was going to be cancelling several shows because she needed to recover fully.
“American country music legend Loretta Lynn is at home recuperating from a recent fall that left her unable to perform on Labor Day weekend at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Although her injuries are not serious, she will be undergoing minor surgery and Loretta’s doctors have advised her to stay off the road until she’s made a full recovery. Regrettably, Loretta will have to postpone the following shows until further notice……”
We weren’t sure that she was going to recovery as quickly because of her age, but it seems like she has beat the odds and is already back in the game.
Loretta Lynn was already back out on the stage last weekend in Branson, Missouri for two shows. She was performing the 22nd and 23rd with 12-year-old sensation EmiSunshine.
EmiSunshine posted on her Facebook sharing about the honor that it was to be performing next to the incredible Loretta Lynn. She was able to sing Loretta’s hit “You Ain’t Woman Enough while standing right next to her.
“The Queen of Country Music.
Loretta Lynn is one of the the kindest, most beautiful women I have ever met. Her family and band are so welcoming too. She met my mama and my family, spent time with us, gave me the great honor of singing her song on stage beside her. I am so grateful and overwhelmed. A weekend like this is beyond my hopes and dreams. I’ve probably watched Coal Miners Daughter a few hundred times. I have read everything about her and still it doesn’t do justice to being near her….”
We are so thrilled to see Loretta feeling better and back out on the stage! Please continue to pray for a full and speedy recovery!
