Charlie Daniels has been an asset to country music since the moment that he stepped on stage, and his latest announcement has us all emotional.
Daniels started his career in country music in 1958 and he is still one of the most loved artists in the business. His career really hit off when he cowrote a song with Elvis Presley titled “It Hurts Me” in 1964, and that’s when he started working as a session musician.
Although he eventually made a name for himself and his talent, he played on several albums for artists like Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. It wasn’t until 1971, that Daniels released his first solo album and he released a new one every year for about 50 years.
Now after not releasing an album for quite some time and Country Rebel announced that Charlie Daniels is going to be releasing a memoir!!
“He and his band, the Charlie Daniels Band, have earned a Grammy and well-deserved inductions into the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame. Throughout his 60 year career, Daniels has lived a life aspiring musicians can only dream of, and what better way to share his experiences with the world than write a memoir.”
The memoir is going to be titled Never Look Back at the Empty Seats and it is set to be released on October 24, 2017. Daniels released a video on his Facebook making the big announcement and it is set to be one of the biggest projects yet.
According to Rolling Stone the memoir is going to include “personal anecdotes and insider history” from Daniels’ career in country music. Daniels’ website also released the big news explaining the title behind the memoir.
“Charlie Daniels presents a life lesson for all of us regardless of profession: Walk on stage with a positive attitude. Your troubles are your own and are not included in the ticket price. Some nights you have more to give than others, but put it all out there every show. You’re concerned with the people who showed up, not the ones who didn’t. So give them a show and…Never look at the empty seats!”
I have always been a huge fan of Charlie Daniels and I can’t wait to see what this new project is all about. This man has always stood tall for what he believes in and he has one of the biggest hearts in the community.
