Legendary country star was just announced dead after a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis. Prayers for her family.
It was just a couple of weeks ago that country music star, Lari White, announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. She started on several different treatments for the cancer, but unfortunately the cancer didn’t respond to the treatment.
Throughout the battle, she tried her best to remain positive in hopes that she would have a bright future.
“The surgery revealed advanced Peritoneal Cancer. Since then a series of complications including pain management, pneumonia and a bowel obstruction requiring emergency surgery has kept me in and out of the hospital fighting for my life,” she wrote. “This is, of course, my focus for the foreseeable future.”
About two days ago it was announced that Lari was going into hospice care because the cancer was taking over her body. Although we knew that her life was coming to an end, we did not expect this all to happen so quickly.
The family released a statement sharing that they were going to be with her 24/7 while she was in hospice care making her feel loved and supported event through this horrifying time.
“…We are thankful, and grateful to God for the miracle of Hospice Care. Because of the way this superb program is designed, we have been able to Be There for her…to pray, to sing, to read to her, to love on her…and each other. Her sister (an experienced Hospice Chaplain from Seattle) was able to spend the night with her. Thank you, Hospice.”
Lari passed away at age 52, and her family started a GoFundMe page after confirming her heartbreaking death. They know that they are surrounded by a great group of people, especially those in the country music world.
This is a hard time for her family, please keep them in your prayers during this time of loss.
“With a heavy heart, we share the news of the passing of Lari. She passed at home surrounded by her family, comforted with the knowledge that her family has so much support from her friends and the music community that loves her.”
Support has flooded social media sending condolences to her family.
“Woke up this morning to the awful news of the passing of friend Lari White Cannon who lost her battle with cancer. I just don’t understand how on one cancer can be treated and another can’t. Lari was quite a woman full of life and talent. Prayers for Lari’s family, her children. #onlyGodknowswhy#cancersucks” -Anita Cochran Music
