Days after country music legend’s death his family releases heartbreaking news. Prayers for all.
It’s only been a couple of months since Mel Tillis’ death and his memorial service details have finally been released. Tillis died early Sunday morning (November 19.)
Tillis was at the Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida at the time of his death. Meanwhile, you may know that Tillis was battling serious health issues, more specifically intestinal issues for quite some time.
As you all know, Tillis was no ordinary country music star but was considered one of the greatest to ever live. We had all expected his death for some time now, but it still didn’t make the goodbye easy.
His daughter posted about Mel’s death stating that she was heartbroken. The two of them had a very special bond and she even invited him to join the Grand Ole Opry back in 2007. Needless to say it was a special moment for both of them.
Pam is also a part of the country music community so the entire group is definitely still mourning his death. It was a huge loss.
“I am having to process and deal with family matters, we are so grief stricken, please keep us in your prayers, we will be announcing the date for an end of life celebration. I am awed and humbled by his legacy and the out pouring of love and support we are receiving”
Although they have already laid him to rest, they announced that there will be a memorial service for the country star. The family announced details about the service through a press release, stating that the service will be on January 31 at 10 AM at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
It will be a free memorial service, and is open to anyone and everyone who would want to attend.
