Loretta Lynn’s family just made a heartbreaking announcement. I hate that this is happening…
Loretta Lynn has had a tough time recovering from her stroke. Now, her family has released more heartbreaking news. After cancelling her tour, Loretta has postponed her upcoming album.
Hearing that Loretta had a stroke put a pit in my stomach. She is one of the mot legendary country artists, and has paved the way for women in the industry.
Since her stroke we haven’t heard many updates except short ones from family members. Now, Loretta has posted her first personal update since the incident informing fans on what the future looks like for her and her music.
“Thank you so much for all of your prayers, love, and support. I’m happy to say that I’m at home with my family and getting better by the day,” she wrote on her official Facebook page. “My main focus now is making a full recovery so that I can get back to putting all of me into what I love, sharing my music with all of you.”
After sharing her recovery update with fans she shared that she will be postponing her upcoming album. The album “Wouldn’t It Be Great,” which was set to release on August 2017 won’t be released until next year.
Lynn says that “it deserves (her) at (her) best and (she) can’t wait to share it.” She went on to thank all of her fans for their continued support throughout this trying time.
Fans have supported, encouraged and loved her even while she is putting her career on hold. Lynn also wanted fans to know that she isn’t dead, referring to Willie Nelson’s song “Still Not Dead”.
“I’m just letting everybody know that Willie ain’t dead yet and neither am I, and I can’t wait to see all of you on the road!”
