Randy Travis jut made one of the biggest statements ever since his massive stroke. I can’t believe it.
If you have followed Randy Travis’ story at all you know that he hasn’t been able to talk or sing in a while. That didn’t stop the country legend from speaking his mind on Twitter though.
There was a huge controversy in the country music world recently after Garth Brooks had lip synced at the CMA’s. Many bashed the country star saying that he was ingenue and had so many other terrible things to say about him.
Unfortunately, Garth Brooks was sick at the time of the CMA’s and didn’t feel like he could put on an incredible show. The 2017 CMA Awards were on Wednesday night Nov. 8, and finally some people are sticking up for the star.
One of those was Blake Shelton who commented. This was after his ex-wife Miranda Lambert called out the lip syncing.
“Hey @garthbrooks … I still love you,”
He wasn’t the only one who stepped up to make Garth feel loved and supported. Randy Travis made a bold statement.
This was extremely shocking because Travis hasn’t been able to talk. He ended up retweeting Blake’s tweet supporting and showing Garth Brooks that he was proud of him.
And as you all know, this says a lot coming from Randy Travis.
“A friend, a man, an artist who gives ALL, always!” Travis writes. “Our family in music should be the 1st to understand.”
Garth won Entertainer of the Year at the 2017 CMA Awards for the second year in a row. He credited his band and crew with helping him take home the trophy for a second year in a row. Keeping the attention off of himself.
“I’ve got a band and crew that works their dog butts off,” Brooks shared. “If you want to know where we’re at right now, we’re in the middle of 12 shows in 10 days. Not 10 shows in 12 days — 12 shows in 10 days. That band and crew works harder than anybody.”
