Carrie Underwood undergoes surgery after a scary fall that left her seriously injured. Prayers for a quick recovery.
It was about a week ago that Carrie Underwood slipped on the steps outside her home. The fall happened on Friday night (November 10) and she is pretty beat up.
We knew that she was injured but didn’t get many details until now. Apparently, she was hurt so badly that she needed to get surgery to help fix the injury.
The Tennesseean shared that the singer was treated at the hospital for a broken wrist and cuts and abrasions. Furthermore, the statement continued to share that Underwood’s recovery will “take some time.”
The country star also posted on her Twitter account sharing the news about the surgery. From what we read on her post, she had to get some type of metal put in her wrist when she underwent surgery.
She kept things lighthearted stating that she will be setting of airport metal detectors from now on. The good news is that she has an incredible support system and people have been taking really great care of her since all of that happened.
“I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well…even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on…I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me.”
Although she wasn’t injured with a life threatening injury, she did have to cancel her appearance at the Country Rising benefit show in Nashville on Sunday. Her next show isn’t scheduled until December 9th at the Grand Ole Opry, but she is confident that she will be recovered enough by then.
We’ve never seen Underwood injured like this. Please continue to keep her in your prayers for a quick and speedy recovery.
We love you Carrie! Stay strong!
