Rascal Flatts just shared a heartbreaking update after their tour bus went up in flames.
It was a terrifying week for the Rascal Flatts band after their tour bus went up in flames. Thankfully they all avoided injury but it definitely made for a scary Saturday morning.
Gary LeVox who is the lead singer for the band shared the news with all of his fans explaining what had happened. He shared the news along with a video on social media as well.
We are just so happy that everyone got out safe and sound!
“My bus caught on fire this mornin on my way to a hunting trip. My brother Kevin and I got out. It happened so quick and could have been a different story if the ammunition would have caught fire. What a way to start 2018. Thank you lord for your covering this mornin!”
In the actual video you can hear Gary explaining what had happened. Apparently their final destination was Rifle Point Plantation, but that’s obviously not where they all ended up.
Gary explains, “This is our Louisiana trip. Rifle Point and our bus is on fire.” The reference to Rifle Point suggests that their final destination was the Rifle Point Plantation, a popular Louisiana destination for bow hunters.
Although this was a first for the Rascal Flatts band, it wasn’t in country music history. In fact, this is something common that has happened before.
Artists like Chris Lane, Eli Young Band, Lee Brice, Randy Houser, Jerrod Niemann, Toby Keith, Canaan Smith and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott have all experienced bus fires in recent years. Thankfully all have escaped unharmed.
You can watch Gary’s full video in the Instagram clip below! I’m so glad that no one hurt during the fire!
This is so scary! Prayers for safety!!!
