Scotty McCreery Just Said Something About Randy Travis That Has Every Fan In Tears…

Scotty McCreery is one of country’s younger stars and after his recent post fans everywhere respect him more than they ever did.

Scotty McCreery is only 23-years-old and he is one of the most well known country artists out there. The country star rose to fame on the tenth season of singing competition American idol after he took home the trophy.

Right after his big win McCreery released his debut album Clear as Day, and little did he know that it would be certified platinum. Since then he has only continued to grow his success and he is loved by just about everyone in country music.

Another well respected country star, well he’s more of a legend, is the one and only Randy Travis. What we didn’t know was that Randy Travis is actually one of McCreery’s role models in country music.

It was just a couple of months ago that Scotty McCreery had the opportunity to perform at the Grand Ole Opry and sing Travis’ hit “1982” and apparently Randy Travis loved it! Randy actually Tweeted Scotty McCreery after his performance saying that he liked his voice!

“Randy wasn’t there, but somehow he heard about it and tweeted me later that night,” he told Rare Country. “In the tweet he mentioned that he was a fan of my voice. That was unreal…that one of my heroes was a fan of my voice!”

NOW it just got so much sweeter for the young country star because he actually had the opportunity to meet Mr. Randy Travis. It was just a couple of months ago at the CMA Awards when McCreery finally was able to meet his idol backstage and he just couldn’t contain his excitement.

McCreery was able to take a photo with Travis and his family and even hang out with them for a little while. That’s not all though, he posted the photo of him and Travis on his Instagram and shared the SWEETEST caption ever!

Scotty shared about how he used to listen to Travis as a young boy and stay up late at night singing his songs.

“Little scotty used to sit on the end of his bed with a guitar playing three wooden crosses, forever and ever amen, 1982, diggin up bones and so many other randy travis songs till 2 in the morning.”

This is so cute! So happy for you, Scotty!
