Hollywood legend was just announced dead in his home. I can’t believe that he’s really gone.
He is the famous stage and TV actor who was best known for playing Bill Cosby’s father on “The Cosby Show.” Earle Hyman passed away on Friday November 17th according to reports.
He was 91 at the time of his death. Earle died at his own home in Englewood, New Jersey. Jordan Strohl, who is a representative for The Actors Fund released the statement confirming the news about his death.
Hyman was actually very famous on the stage world before he even dipped his toes into television. He fell in love with theater when he was just a young teenager. The rest was obviously history as he lived out his life long dreams.
It wasn’t until about 1984 to 1992 that he got really famous while he was on the “The Cosby Show.”
If you have seen the Cosby show you know that his role was incredibly unforgettable. Furthermore, he is known for playing Russell Huxtable.
After hearing about his heartbreaking death, Bill Cosby tweeted about Earle. He shared that he will be missed and will live forever in their hearts.

His time on Cosby wasn’t a waste either. Furthermore, the legendary actor received an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Comedy Series, for his work on the show in 1984.
He performed in several Shakespeare plays, and was also nominated for a Tony. Meanwhile, it was for his performance in Edward Albee’s play “The Lady from Dubuque.”
Hyman was known as a loyal friend and a man of integrity. Please continue to keep his family and friends in your prayers during this heartbreaking time. He was truly one of a kind.
