She was one of the greatest actresses of all time, and she will be missed deeply. Prayers for the family.
She is the longtime voice of the legendary Daphne Blake on TV’s Scooby-Doo. Heather North has died at age 71 according to multiple reports.
Her longtime family friend, Jodie Mann, confirmed the news about her death stating that she died on Nov. 30. North was at her home in Studio City at the time of her death.
Kenny was an Emmy Award-winning producer and director of soap operas. He also “helmed every episode of the tumultuous 1974-75 season of All in the Family.”
Scooby-Doo wasn’t the only way that Heather rose to fame either. In fact, she used to star on Days of Our Lives. And that’s where she and Kenney met.
They met on set and eventually married in 1971. She had played Sandy Horton for a few years on the NBC daytime serial.
North also starred in Disney’s The Barefoot Executive (1971). Some others include Mr. Novak, Gidget, The Fugitive, The Monkees, My Three Sons and Adam-12; on the big screen in Git! (1965) and I Love My Wife (1970); and on Broadway in the short-lived 1967 comedy The Girl in the Freudian Slip.
She is survived by her son Kevin and daughter-in-law Stephanie; stepdaughter Nina and her husband Brent; stepson Wes and his wife Leslie; and granddaughter Jocelyn. Another stepdaughter, Kara, died just a week ago.
This is a tragic and heartbreaking time for North’s family. Please keep them in your prayers as they mourn her loss, and the loss of Kara.
I can’t imagine the pain that this family must be going through right now.
