Television star almost died after a terrifying car accident. I hope he’s okay…
He was a former Top Gear presenter, Richard Hammond, was almost killed after his car went down a hill, flipped over and burst into flames. The Guardian reported the accident saying that he was shooting for his Amazon show The Grand Tour when it happened.
Hammond was filming in St Gallen in north-east Switzerland and we are all in shock that he was able to escape the car the way that he did. According to reports his fellow tv Grand Tour presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, Tweeted saying that it was the scariest crash he had ever seen in his life.
It was the biggest crash I've ever seen and the most frightening but incredibly, and thankfully, Richard seems to be mostly OK.

Andy Wilman, who is the shows producer said that if Richard would have even been a few seconds slower getting out of the vehicle that he would have been incinerated. Apparently when they first saw the wreck happen they already thought that he was dead.
It was literally a miracle that he came out alive because the car was completely destroyed.
“When they saw the wreckage on fire they thought Richard was dead. It was really bad,” Wilman told the Sunday Mirror. “If Richard had been a few seconds slower getting out, he would have been incinerated.”
“They were staggered he had got out of it alive, because there was just nothing left,” he added.
After the wreck Hammond was immediately taken by ambulance to a hospital that was nearby. He was extremely shaken up about the situation and was kept for observation.
An Amazon spokeswoman released a statement sharing about the crash saying that Hammond had suffered some injuries but nothing life-threatening. As of now they are unsure of the reason of the crash and it is still being investigated.
“Richard was conscious and talking, and climbed out of the car himself before the vehicle burst into flames,” she said. “The cause of the crash is unknown and is being investigated.”
This is horrifying! Prayers for a quick recovery!!!
