BREAKING: Dead Bat Just Found In Food, HUGE Recall Issued Check Your Fridge Now

People everywhere are freaking out after a dead bat was just found in a packaged food.

You’ve probably heard stories about people finding a bug or a piece of plastic in their food right? Well, I think this one takes the cake because a Florida resident just found a DEAD BAT in their packaged salad mix.

Two people are now being forced to have post exposure rabies treatment after finding the bat. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released the statement on Saturday after the bat was sent to the CDC after being found in a bag of Fresh Express Organic Marketside Spring Mix.

“The deteriorated condition of the bat did not allow for CDC to definitively rule out whether this bat had rabies,” the Atlanta-based agency said.

Although the rabies transmission was very low, the center said that it was not zero, so they recommend that the consumers undergo the rabies treatment. The couple shows no signs of rabies but it’s just a precaution that they are needing to take to make sure.

The Fresh Express Organic Marketside Spring Mix has officially recalled ALL packages sold in Walmarts in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. According to CNN “The affected product has the production code G089B19 and best-if-used-by date of Apr 14, 2017 on the front label, and UPC code 6 8113132897 5 on the bottom of the container.”

“Upon receiving notification, both Walmart and Fresh Express food safety and rapid response teams, in close coordination with regulatory authorities, acted immediately to review all relevant records, launch an intensive investigation and initiate product removal and recall procedures,” Fresh Express said.

Thankfully, this has been the only report on the matter and we are hoping that it stays that way. The report is still under investigation.

This is disgusting!
