Famous NASCAR legend’s family just shared emotional news weeks after his horrifying crash. Prayers for all.
It was just a couple of weeks ago that NASCAR Hall of Famer Jack Ingram was placed in ICU after a terrifying near death experience. Now, his family has released an emotional update that has us all in tears.
December 3, 2017 was the date of the crash and Ingram still remains in the ICU. He is at a local hospital, and his family is finally opening up about the details of the car crash that almost took his life. Apparently the crash happened in North Carolina and was just a few yards away from the Asheville Motor Speedway.
Thankfully, his family gave us all an update through CaringBridge.org. Ingram’s daughter, Ingrid Jones, said her father remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Asheville’s Mission Hospital.
The good news is that he is making progress. Even if it’s not a ton of progress at once, it’s still baby steps to a full recovery.
She continued to share that overall he really is doing amazingly well for the condition that he is in.
“Daddy continues to hold his own, making healing steps forward and then a step back, which we fully expected-but he’s surprising us each and every day with his strength and courage to overcome this. Overall, he’s doing amazingly well.”
Continuing she shared that they hoped he would be out of ICU by now, but he remains. She shared that it looks like they should be out within the next few days.
“For now, he’ll remain in ICU until he can go a full 24 hours without ventilator assisted breathing. We’re almost there … but may still be a few days. We continue to be optimistic for his health, and we also continue to appreciate the prayers and encouraging thoughts.”
Please keep Jack and his family in your prayers at this time.
