This may be a complete game changer for Toyota!!!
As most of us know, Chevrolet just announced that they will be discontinuing the production of the SS Sedan. That is the car that is raced in NASCAR, but it’s being discontinued because of the declining amount of sales the car is getting.
While Chevy is busy figuring out what they’re going to do or 2018, Toyota has made an exciting announcement, featuring the new Toyota Camry race car for 2018.
The Car features a sleek design that will definitely catch anyone’s eye when it’s on the race rack iron the road.
JGR drivers, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch helped Toyota unveil the design at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. They seemed more than excited about it!
Ed Laukes, Vice President of Integrated Marketing Operations for Toyota, expressed his excitement at the unveiling, saying that this is a huge milestone for the company.
“The 2018 Toyota Camry NASCAR race car has been years in the making, and to unveil it simultaneously with our new production Camry is a milestone moment for our organization. The collaboration between Calty Design Group and TRD has produced a NASCAR Camry that showcases aggressive styling that is sure to turn heads on the race track and among our fans in Toyota showrooms across the country. Reimagining both the Camry race car and its production counterpart has been a tremendous undertaking and our goal has been to maintain parallel design characteristics so our fans can enjoy driving a Camry that closely resembles the one their favorite NASCAR driver races each weekend.”
This is an exciting time for the team at Toyota. And this car is one of the sleekest we’ve seen from the company. We look forward to seeing this on the race track. And on the road with us driving it!
