Sitting with the 98th pick in this draft, the Carolina Panthers found the need to move up in the draft.
With a trade with the Arizona Cardinals, the Panthers found the need to move up and take Texas A&M defensive end Daeshon Hall. Hall was opposite of the first overall selection Myles Garrett on that A&M defensive front line.
If not for Garrett, Hall would have been the main man at Texas A&M. The pick in the third round is a nice value for a team that can always use pass rushers. Hall will be able to learn from one of the best being Julius Peppers who returned to the Panthers after a few years with the Green Bay Packers.

To move up in the third round to select Hall, the Panthers swapped third round picks with Arizona, along with shipping the Cardinals the 115th overall pick.
Welcome to the Panthers!
