The Panthers Just Found Out When They Will Be Drafting In 2017

Carolina Panthers

2016 is now behind them, Carolina can look to next season.

It has been a rough season for the Carolina Panthers, but there’s a great future ahead. Players will be healthier, the schedule will let up, and then there’s the little draft coming up.

Carolina will get the 8th pick in the upcoming NFL draft, giving them a top 10 pick to help plug some serious holes. The team could go after  top receiver, find a replacement for the again James Stewart, get better protection for Cam Newton or find another hole to fill.

Carolina has several needs, possibly the biggest being in the secondary. The team lost Josh Norman to free agency and never really replaced him. There are several high-quality corners available in this year’s draft, and Carolina might jump at the chance to get a blue chip, shut down defender. In a division with Mike Evans, Julio Jones and whoever Drew Brees is throwing to can be tough without a highly skilled pass defender to match them up with. There will be speculation throughout the next four months to see which stand out college player will be the next Panther.

Are you excited for the draft, or still nursing your wounds from the season?
