As the saying goes, never say never.
Last offseason, Josh Norman left the Carolina Panthers to sign a huge offer sheet from the Washington Redskins. Carolina’s defensive secondary fell apart and there was bad blood all around.
A report surfaced that Josh Norman hasn’t ruled out returning to the Panthers one day in the future. While at a charity function, Norman said “I’m not a storyteller. … I believe the man upstairs writes mine, and if he does see Carolina in the penmanship, then it shall be.”
Josh Norman says he didn’t leave Panthers on bad terms and won’t close door on potential return; “I don’t hold grudges” (ESPN) …

These are shocking words coming from a man who wanted to return to Carolina, only to be shown the door. It turned out alright as he moved slightly north to become one of the highest paid defensive players in the NFL. But players hold grudges and it was thought Norman would never return to the Panthers as a member of the team. It seems time heals all wounds, and since several current Panthers turned out to support Norman’s charity, maybe he realizes that you can always go home again.
Is this all just pie in the sky, or do you think Norman will wear the Carolina colors again before he retires some day?
