The Dallas Cowboys will have a very important decision this upcoming off-season.

With the play of DeMarcus Lawrence, he is making himself a very rich man on weekly basis.  It seems that the price tag for him continues to increase each week.

With 13.5 sacks, Lawrence leads the league and continues to be a force for this Cowboys defense.  He is a nightmare for opposing offensive coordinators to plan against.  You really can’t double team him with David Irving on the same defense, but you can’t feel comfortable using a single player to block him either.  That is what makes Lawrence so special.

It’s not just rushing the passer that Lawrence has improved this year!

What has been more impressive is that he is just as good against the run at times, as he is at rushing the passer.  It’s plays like this that show his talent of being more than just a pass rusher.  Lawrence was able to shed the block on him and get at the running back, tackling him for a loss on the play.

On the season, Lawrence has 50 tackles (30 solo), four forced fumbles, and an NFL-leading 13.5 sacks.  He also has a bunch of tackles for loss as he disrupts opposing offensive lines on a regular basis.

His sack total this year is more than he has had in his previous three years combined.  Heading into this season, Lawrence had nine sacks.

Heading into the 2017 season, Lawrence was going to be playing for his career in Dallas.  It’s safe to say that he has fulfilled those expectations, plus some.  The question we must ask now is, do the Cowboys have the money it will take to resign Lawrence?  He has earned the right to be paid as a top-tier pass rushing talent in the NFL.

Do you think resigning Lawrence should be on the top of the Cowboys list this off-season?
