Some of the Dallas Cowboys players are in mid-season form.
Dez Bryant appears to be ready for the season to start!
During the team portion of Thursday’s practice, the Cowboys offense seemed to be in mid-season form. It was especially so with this play by Bryant, as he made a very typical Dez-like reception.
Bryant has been one of the best jump ball receivers in this league over his seven years in the league. He is at his best doing so in the endzone as his quarterback trusts that he will go up and make the play
The Cowboys offense will be returning most of their starting unit for the 2017 football season. One of those players hopes to be back to his old style of play in Bryant.
Bryant hopes to have similar chemistry with Dak Prescott, like he had with Tony Romo all those years!
Last season, it took Prescott and his star wide receiver a little time to get the chemistry going. Despite the playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, we saw what the future may hold. Dez absolutely dominated a weak secondary in Green Bay for nine receptions for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns. If that was any indication of what will be in 2017, the league will be in trouble defending this offense.

The Cowboys already possess one of the best offensive lines in football and one of the top running backs as well. If Bryant can get to the form that he showed during the 2012-2014 seasons, this offense becomes more dangerous. During that span of games, Dez averaged 91 receptions for 1311 yards 13 touchdowns. No reason to think that he can’t get close to those numbers in 2017, if healthy.
Health has been an issue for the big physical receiver. Bryant has missed a total of 10 games over the last two years.
If the Cowboys are to make that next step, they will need a good season out of #88!
