Jason Garrett Says Changes Are Coming To This Football Team

The Dallas Cowboys are in a horrible position right now for the playoffs.

The talk about this team’s struggles have come with Dak Prescott and his play at the quarterback position.  He has not looked good, but he is not the only problem for this football team.  The secondary has been an issue for this team over the last two years.

The Cowboys went with youth in the secondary following the struggles back there in 2016.  That same struggle has moved into the 2017 season.

Dallas must fix a problem in the secondary NOW!

It appears that the first change is happening with Anthony Brown being demoted, but Jason Garrett said that it won’t stop there (via Clarence Hill Jr.).

“Jason Garrett said the Cowboys are not just looking at making changes at cornerback with Anthony Brown but safety as well.”

Brown has looked lost out there at times in 2017.  That comes to a surprise, he was viewed as one of the reasons that the team was able to let Morris Claiborne and Brandon Carr walk in free agency.  His rookie season of 2016 was much different than what we have seen in his sophomore year of 2017.

I would personally like to see the Cowboys move Byron Jones back to cornerback.  He was drafted as one out of college, but Dallas moved him to safety.  With Jones moving to cornerback, I would start a pair of rookies at safety and trust their athletic ability would make up for the experience.

I love Chidobe Awuzie and Xavier Woods as the combo at safety.  Woods has looked great this year when he made it in the lineup.  Awuzie has been banged up most of the year, but he returned recently.  He wasn’t a second-round pick for nothing.

What would you like to see the Cowboys do in the secondary?  Would you make any additional moves on that side of the ball?
