Morris Claiborne Just Informed The Cowboys Of His Plans For This Weekend’s Game…

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are on track to get their star cornerback for the divisional round playoff game this weekend.

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager, Jerry Jones said earlier this week that he expected cornerback Morris Claiborne to be back on the field for the divisional round playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.  We now have the same confidence from the actual player, Claiborne himself.  Morris said that he is going to be back on the field with his teammates this Sunday.

On Tuesday, the Cowboys owner told 105.3 The Fan that Dallas is on the right track to get Claiborne back.

“He’s really as ready as he’s been all season,” Jerry Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan’s G-Bag Nation show.  “We just have to see how he holds up.”

Recently, Claiborne made it clear that he will be back this weekend.

“It’s all a mind thing,” he said.  It’s all what you think of it and how you put it.  In my mind, I’m going to go dominate.”

In the week eight match-up in Philadelphia, Claiborne suffered a groin injury that first appeared to be a sports hernia.  He has been out since the injury, but hopes that his return will give the Cowboys a boost in the secondary.  If Claiborne doesn’t feel that he will have much rust to knock off during the game, we have to assume the same thing as fans.

This is a major return for this defense as they will be taking on one of the game best quarterback in Aaron Rodgers.  The Packers quarterback has been great over the past seven games in which he has guided his team to a 7-0 record.  With Claiborne back in the secondary, you have to assume that he will take one of the targets away in the passing game.  He was able to do so earlier in the season when he shut down Odell Beckham, A.J. Green, and Jordy Nelson just to name a few.  He was on his way to an All-Pro season and was bound to be a lock for the pro bowl before the injury.

Time to get back to work and so glad we got #24 back in the lineup!
