The Dallas Cowboys are hoping to get their defensive leader back this Sunday.
Sean Lee has been out of the Cowboys lineup for the past three games. Lee left the game against the Atlanta Falcons in week nine early with a hamstring injury. He has yet to return to the lineup and the defense has shown their need for his leadership on the football field.
Prior to this last week, they have truly missed their All-Pro linebacker. In the five games that he has missed, the team is 1-4, while giving up points in bunches in every game, except last week.
The Cowboys hopeful to get their defensive leader back on the practice field this week!
It appears the Cowboys are expecting to get Lee back this week in practice. If that is the case, you would assume he should be okay to go on Sunday (via Jon Machota).
“Sean Lee is expected to practice this week. He appears to be on track to play Sunday.”
A key day to keep an eye on for practice will be Thursday and Friday. That is when the first batch of the injury report comes out. If he is able to practice either or both days, you would assume that he will be tagged with a “questionable” label on the injury report. If that is the case, I like his chances to play at the Giants this weekend.

He said it Thursday, but Sean Lee reiterated this morning that he’s good to go. Plans to practice this week with an eye on playing in New York #cowboyswire

The Cowboys finally got that needed win on Thursday, but have two more games without Ezekiel Elliott. However, if they can get Lee back this week, it would be huge for this team. With three of their final four on the road, Dallas will need all hands-on deck to have a shot at the postseason.
Dallas got the first round of help they needed this past weekend, but they will need more. They will need to continue to win moving forward if this team is to have a shot of the playoffs this year.
Do you think Lee will be back this weekend?
