The Dallas Cowboys will have a close eye on the National Championship tonight.
The Dallas Cowboys first round pick might be on the national stage tonight!
The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide will prepare to take the stage on National television tonight. Both teams are a win away from winning the NCAA National Championship, and both are loaded on both sides of the ball.
Plenty of players on both teams will be looking to make a statement tonight as they prepare to make the next jump to the NFL. One of those players will be Georgia linebacker, Roquan Smith.
Smith is one of the top linebackers in college football. He is a near lock to get drafted in the first round come this April. Anything can happen, that’s why I say a near lock, but the chances that he doesn’t leave as a first-round pick are low. One of those teams he has been linked to are the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys found out early that the depth at linebacker must get taken care of during this upcoming off-season. With Sean Lee out of the game, Dallas struggled to find the right combination to get the job done. With Lee in the lineup, Dallas was very good on defense.
Of these three playing in tonight's national title game, which one would you most want the Cowboys to draft?

Lee isn’t the only linebacker with health questions!
Second-year linebacker Jaylon Smith is coming off a major knee injury a couple years ago. After missing his entire rookie season, Smith was better than most thought he would be during his second year. Plenty of people thought that this time would take a while, with some saying he would never step on the field again. As good as he was in 2017, we still must worry about his health, just due to nerve damage he suffered.
Roquan Smith is a solid player, therefore, he would be a perfect fit for this Cowboys team. You can never have too much talent on the defensive side of the ball, especially at linebacker. We found that out quickly in 2017, but hopefully Jerry Jones and the Cowboys realize that as well.
Do you think Smith would be a good fit? Or should the Cowboys go in a different direction with that first-round pick?
