No one saw this coming until it was too late.
Last season, the Packers’ running game fell apart partly because of an injury to their star running back. For 2017, he was supposed to return healthy and give Aaron Rodgers a legit running threat to take pressure off of him.
Well, Eddie Lacy just broke Green Bay’s heart signing a one year deal with the Seattle Seahawks. The one year deal is worth $5.5 million with $3 million guaranteed according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. That means Green Bay will have to find a running back ASAP.

Lacy played four seasons with the Packers, totaling over 3,400 yards and 23 total rushing touchdowns. He was also a receiving threat with 900 yards through the air in four years. However, last season’s injury showed how fragile he can be, and his 2015 season was spent with a few extra pounds on him. Fans are not sure if the signing was a result of Green Bay wanting some new blood, or if the Packers’ stingy attitude towards the pocket book was the issue. Either way, Eddie Lacy is now a distant memory and the team has to find a new running back.
Are you furious that Lacy got away, or was he overrated in your opinion?
