It only took 93 picks, but we finally see the first Auburn Tiger to come off the board.
The Green Bay Packers continue to draft defense as we look to end the third round on Friday night. In the third-round, with the 93rd selection in the NFL draft, the Packers select Montravius Adams out of Auburn. It’s crazy to see the first Auburn player not get taken until the third round.
Per seccountry.com, Adams played four seasons at Auburn, while starting in three straight years. He was a second team All-American as a Tiger while recording 8.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks during his final season in 2016.

Adams should fit in with this defense and have a good chance to be a contributor for this team as a rookie in 2017. He may not register the typical stat on every play, but it’s what he does for his teammates that will help this defense more than anything else. He demands double teams which will open up the linebackers to make the plays.
Welcome to the Packers!
