He’s never one an MVP himself, but he’s backing a teammate.
Ben Roethlisberger has had a great career, made several Pro Bowls, won two Super Bowls and is the face of the Steelers’ franchise. But, Roethlisberger is backing another horse for the league MVP award.
Big Ben let it be known that his vote is for Steelers Running Back Le’Veon Bell. “I put my vote for [No.] 2-6 any day,” Roethlisberger said from his locker. Although Bell was suspended the first few games of the season, he’s on a break neck pace for total production having scored 7 touchdowns in the last 5 games.

Bell currently has 1,053 yards, is averaging 4.8 yards per carry and has scored six touchdowns on the ground and one more through the air. He’s totaled over 550 receiving yards so far and has been a nightmare to defend. He’s even been praised by Bengals cornerback Adam Jones. “He can do it all,” Jones said. “He can catch the ball out of the backfield. … He can run you over. He can make you miss.”
Are you worried this will all go to Bell’s head, or is this exactly the type of back Pittsburgh can ride into the Super Bowl?
