BREAKING: NFL’s Best WR Exits Game With Leg Injury

Pittsburgh Steelers

The injuries continue to mount in the NFL during the 2017 season.

REPORT: It appears to be a left calf injury.  Pittsburgh has not ruled out the return of Antonio Brown.

What looked to be a lower left leg injury, the Pittsburgh Steelers have lost their All-Pro wide receiver for the time being.  Antonio Brown was helped off the field, putting no pressure on his left leg.  After a quick trip to the tent on the sideline, the training staff took him to the locker room.  he was seen walking with discomfort to the locker room.

Steelers suffer a major injury to star player!

Brown was unable to put pressure on his leg walking off the field (via Ian Rapoport).

“Steelers WR Antonio Brown is bobbling badly on the sideline, not putting any weight on his leg.  He was being held up by two people.”

The list is outrageously long this season in terms of injuries to players.  What makes it even worse is the amount of season ending injuries we have seen.  Hopefully this isn’t the case as the Steelers are gearing up for a deep playoff run.

Without Brown on the field, defenses are able to change their game plan.  What Brown does on the field is not duplicated by any player in the league.  Luckily for Pittsburgh, they do have a long list of play makers to fill in if need by.  They will need Le’Veon Bell to carry a bigger role, along with JuJu Smith-Schuster and Martavis Bryant to step their games respectively.

Unfortunately for the Steelers, they already lost a key part of this team to injury.  It wasn’t long ago that we saw another key member of this Steelers team exit with an injury.  The injury that linebacker Ryan Shazier suffered might be a career ending injury.

The league can’t take another superstar of this league away from us!
