Well, one less thing to worry about in Pittsburgh.
While the Steelers are still solidifying their playoff position, some have already begun thinking about next year. And every fan, player, coach and executive has one free agent in mind whenever their thoughts turn to 2017.
Le’Veon Bell, the team’s top running back and upcoming free agent, announced he wants to remain with the Steelers next season. Bell, who was just voted the team’s MVP by his teammates, told the press “I want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler.” He went on to say “We’re going to try to do whatever it takes to make that happen.”

Bell has twice rushed for over 1,200 yards in a season, including this year when he missed three games with a suspension. His career yards per carry average is 4.5 and he’s rushed for 26 touchdowns. He’s also a scary pass catcher out of the backfield, totaling over 2,000 yards in his career and five touchdown passes. With over 1,800 yards from scrimmage this offseason, Bell is a force to reckon with and would have been impossible to replace had he left.
Are you excited about Bell’s announcement, or are you too focused on the upcoming playoffs this year?
