With the season all but over, it’s time for looking forward.
The Panthers have nothing left to play for but pride, and Ron Rivera hasn’t given up hope yet. The team is currently 6-9, knocked out of the playoffs for this year and has several injured players including Luke Kuechly.
However, head coach Ron Rivera told the media that he believes the team will be back in the postseason next year. In truth, Rivera might really be on to something when it comes to making predictions about next season.

Injury wise, the team couldn’t have been more beset by injuries. Their offensive line was in shambles for long stretches and the team was a mess on defense with the loss of Josh Norman. The biggest factor though might have been something totally out of the team’s control, namely their schedule. The team played the AFC West and NFC West and faced several playoff teams from this season and last. Next year, they’ll face the NFC and AFC East divisions, which should afford them the chance to travel less and play slight weaker opponents.
Is Ron Rivera just trying to encourage his team, or do you think he really believes in the Panthers’ chances for next season?
